Well, this weekend has been a flurry of activity. It all pretty much started with the Chesapeake Jubilee. It was quite enjoyable! Myself and Emily tried to get ahold of a few friends, but they were all unavailable at that point.
Rain! Rain started pouring down a little bit after Emily and I arrived. Unfortunately, they had to shut down the rides during the rain, but it was a nice little sidetrack. Like Em said, it made the time more memorable, yes? I definitely bonked my head on the underside of the awning we were hiding under. Ouch! I definitely have a big bump right now.
So, we rode the Crazy mouse, the something or other... I don't really remember the name, and we both ran through the MtV fun house. Good times! The Crazy Mouse was pretty fun. We both discovered that we were apparently on the wrong side of the ride. We were on the Sad Side. Bummer... "Don't do it!" "This ride sucks!"
Anywho, after the Jubilee, we both went to our respective houses to get a fresh change of clothes. The rain really put a damper (HAHA) on things, and we both had to clean up. After getting changed, we went to Plaza Azteca with Katie, and had a grand ould dinner. After the dinner, Troy met up with us and we went to the ABC store to get some rum. Daquiri time! Emily made the Daquiris, and I got the cups. I Help-ED. We played kings, got a little scrambled, and established many good inside jokes that will be used in the future. Fun was had by all! Emily got a headache around 930, and went home to get some much-needed sleep. At first I was reluctant to force Troy to be my "chaperone" of sorts, but it worked out great. He and I went to Keagans, and bought about 4 rounds of drinks. After a while, we got a bit tired of the place, and went to Guadelajaras. I guess it really wasn't that great, because we weren't there for more than a few minutes. Back to Keagans! This time around, me and Troy sat down. We kinda sat there for a few minutes, then I walked over to a table with a few ladies and asked them if they would come and sit with us. Stephanie and Joli were their names, and we talked about this and that, really. They were both from the Dominican Republic, and were studying full time at ODU. Joli was studying to become a nurse, and, well Stephanie, I don't know... lol. So, we continued to talk for a little while, until the place closed. Outside, we met up again, and I suppose we are supposed to talk sometime on thursday. I dunno about hanging out though, seeing as I will be super busy ALL week with this CompTIA course. Wish me luck on that!
Back to the topic at hand... After the Club, we went to Dennys to get some food. I met and talked to one of my old highschool (friends?) and found out that he gained like 50 more pounds, and turned gay. Me and Troy drove out to Emily's house to pick up my car (3 AM), and I ended up getting home at 330. Everyone was safe, and sober.
I woke up really late this morning, and was supposed to go to church, but I kinda slept in. It was needed sleep though, so it really did work better that way.
For breakfast, I had eggs, and an english muffin. I feel that english muffins make me more sophisticated, thus warranting consumption that early in the morning.
Lunchtime was interesting. I took a bit of a nap, then ran out to the oriental grocery to grab some more rice, and some squid. This was a bit of an experiment, i suppose. I threw a bunch of Bok Choy, leek, chili powder, basil, and squid in the frying pan. I added a bit of rice vinegar to the concoction, but I suppose I forgot to add Chemical X, because the end result was nothing less than... odd tasting. But it was still good! I just have to say that whole squid is the messiest thing in the world to prepare! A few of those gnarly little guys had their ink sacs broken, so ink was seeping out everywhere. Lovely. Oh, and I had rice too.
Okay, so the end of this blog is nearing. I pretty much plan on going to Ems house tonight to make cookies for her construction worker friends. Apparently they amuse her greatly.
Tomorrow I start my Linux certification course. Should be challenging.
Allright, signing off for now!
